HOW TO MAXIMISE YOUR HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENT

Hydrafacial is the only hydradermabrasion procedure that combines cleansing, extraction and hydration simultaneously, resulting in clearer, more beautiful skin with little-to-no downtime. The treatment is soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and generally non-irritating. As with most procedures, visible results from HydraFacial will vary from person to person.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT:

Investing in your skin is a big decision, and you want to make sure you get the most of it by preparing in the best way. You’ll also want to get the best out of your treatment by following the post-treatment instructions carefully. Leading up to your appointment avoid the following:

Wait at least 2 weeks after receiving Botox or Filler injectable treatments before your Hydrafacial. You can have Botox done on the same day as your facial, but it must happen after the facial

Avoid the use of any exfoliating treatments, like glycolic acid, enzymes, Retinol and Retin-A type products for 72 hours prior to your Hydrafacial treatment

Avoid excessive sun exposure, do not use any tanning beds 72 hours prior to your Hydrafacial treatment

Avoid any facial waxing 72 hours prior to your Hydrafacial treatment

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT:

Your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity. You may experience tingling and stinging during the treatment area. Client experiences may vary, although these sensations generally subside within three hours of treatment

To maximise results it is recommended that post-treatment you do not apply any makeup that day

You will likely see results immediately after treatment and your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for one to four weeks. For improved, longer lasting results, consider take-home products and monthly Hydrafacial treatments

The treated area will more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage and hyperpigmentation, avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 50 sunscreen

Exfoliation, waxing and use of products like glycolic acid, enzymes, Retinol and Retin-A type products should be avoided for 1 week post-treatment

AFTER CARE

Avoid hot environments and heat (saunas, sun beds, intense workouts, hot yoga) for the next 48 hours

Avoid swimming pools for the next 48 hours

Application of SPF30 (min) is essential (but remember, this is ALWAYS essential!)

Avoid having any aggressive treatments on the HydraFacial treatment area for 2 weeks

Avoid using retinol products for 2 days after the treatment
